NHS American Red Cross Blood Drive is Wednesday, September 8 in the Multi-purpose Building from 1-5:30. Please sign up at RedCrossBlood.org to schedule your time slot. Masks are required during the donation. Students who are 16-17yr old must have a permission form completed by a parent/guardian and brought to the drive on Wednesday. Forms are located in the high school office. ALL donors must have a picture ID. Student donors must sign-up for a time slot in the high school office. A scholarship will be awarded to a senior if enough we collect 25+ units. Kelli Young was our scholarship recipient last year. She donated 3 times.

Salvation Army is sponsoring a new after school activity for our students in kindergarten through age 13! Kid's Klub will be held after school on Tuesdays from 3-6pm in the cafeteria. They will start meeting next Tuesday, August 31. We will be sending out permission forms with elementary students tomorrow. In the meantime, please see the attached picture for some helpful information!

Our cheerleaders are doing a mum fundraiser from 8/23-9/3. Pickup date for the mums are 9/9/21 @ 4:00 pm. All proceeds go towards the students practice/warmup gear and bring in Williams Baptist University Cheer in for an in-house training day!

Due to COVID guidelines and concerns, the 2021-22 MSHS Open-House and the 7th Grade Orientation has been tailored to better serve our students and families. 7th Grade and New 8th Grade Student Orientation: August 16th at 6:00 pm in the High School Cafeteria. Only one parent/guardian with each student. Returning 8th Grade – 12th Grade Student Open-House: August 9th – 13th: DROP BY THE HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE and pick up your Class Schedule and 1st Day Packet/Folder between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. If you cannot attend during these hours, call the High School Office and make an appointment for another time. If you cannot attend one of these days, your child will receive a Class Schedule and 1st Day Packet/Folder when school resumes on August 19th.

Mammoth Spring Elementary Parents: This year's open house will held Tuesday, August 17 from 5-7. Due to the recent COVID spike in our area, open house will be by appointment only. We have scheduled appointments for all students and have mailed letters with their appointment times, so keep an eye on your mailbox! If you have school supplies, you may bring them the night of open house. We strongly encourage all students and family members to practice social distancing and wearing masks while on campus. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Congratulations to Natalie Lester on a great week of livestock shows at the Sharp County Fair! Natalie was selected as the Bill and Alice Nix "Best of the Best" Livestock Showman The senior showmanship winner from each species competed showing animals from all 4 species; cattle, hogs, goats, and pigs that were chosen randomly. They were judged by a panel of judges (pictured here) on showmanship and winner was chosen. We are so proud of all your hard work, Natalie!
